My professional acting debut...Wakakaka... Serious joke!

Adam Cinta Siapa. Thats the title of the 8 episode series that had me as a supporting actor to Hasnul Rahmat. Thanks to director Mamat Khalid (Zombie Kampung Pisang, Kala Malam Bulan Mengambang, Rock... to name a few of his films), who thought of me when brainstorming on who to cast for the script. I really appreciate the trust he gave me to play such a fun character.

The story is about Adam (Hasnul Rahmat), a sound engineer, who is at a stage where companionship becomes a big issue. His parents want him to get married but he is unsure about who he has feelings for. Being a music lover with a sensitive and artistic soul, Adam wants to make sure that he marries for the right reasons. It doesn't help that his crazy, happy-go-lucky, carefree brother, Basher, married for the wrong reaons and is currently a divorcee who wants his ex-wife back.

Basher was adopted by Adam's family and is lost in the world of identities. He knows of his status and wants to know where he is from, genuinely. He hopes that his search for his father may give him an insight as to why he loves the world of Rock and Roll so much. During Basher's early days, he got married to a girl named Eva, whom he met at a shopping complex. In the spark of romance, Basher asks for the girl in marriage and surprisingly, she accepts. However, Basher never changed his rocking ways. Eva had to live with his immature, life loving, carefree soul that couldn't focus on being a married man. Due to this, their marriage ended.

The series is set to be released in Singapore's Suria channel and will play in Astro towards the 4th quarter of 2009. The cast includes Hasnul Rahmat, Zakizamani Osman, Rilla Melati (Singapore), Nurul Aini (Singapore), Maria Farida, Diana Rafar, Omar Abdullah, Rahimah Rahim, Eva (Singapore), Suhaila Salam (Singapore), Sharifah Hood (Singapore), Pekin Ibrahim and special appearences by Awie Wings, Imuda, Aziz M. Osman and also Jaafar Onn.

Of Bloggers Blogging Bloggers & Braving Through Life's Blunders

Hi All. Once again out of shere boredom I'm posting another blog. Just completed my day's tasks of emails, network calls and media updates from friends, colleagues and acquaintances. I usually leave the family stuff for the night shift, just before I start writing again. Above is a fellow blogger who is currently teaching a lot about blogging. I introduced her to a place where they have a 1 for 1 offer on steaks on Mondays. I love the place because they have a 1 for 1 offers on beverages on Tuesdays.

People and food. It is one of the fundamental purposes of living. Not confined to just humans, everything consumes everything at one point or another. Plants consume sunlight to live. Animals consume other animals to live. We live on one another yet we in order to survive, we have to destroy each other. Ironic! Reverse Symbiosis!

Food brings people together, explains their backgrounds and cultural influences, tells us of people's preferrence and much much more. Thats why I love food.... And i guess thats why food loves me! (Audience go "Awww..." hahaha)

So next time you have food with your friends and family. Have a long hard look at it. Savor the tastes and try to find the connection between the food and the people that consume it. You'll be surprised to taste what might've or could've bite you in the ass!!

A Reason To Celebrate!

This may sound pathetic to some but I gotta do it. I got my first blog follower today. She's a great person with a very bubbly personality. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to rope her in into any of my projects yet. Am working on it! I would like to thak her for her efforts. If this blog should in anyway turn into this multi million dollar making blog site, then.. I hereby proclaim that MIN LI of "MIN LI and ALL THINGS ELSE" blog, was my first blog follower!

It took me awhile to muster the courage to tell people I have a blog. I guess I had this preconceived idea that people wanted to see intelligent articles as opposed to the ramblings of a struggling writer. I was wrong, just as I have written in my previous post, different writers comes with different styles. I guess I didn't swallow my own pill.

Today was a fun day with family and friends. I've been so busy with writing scripts that I hadn't the chance to play PS2 games with my boy and talk about boys with my girls. The DAD me kicked in today. Had lunch with my in laws. Got into a fight with my better half about me over partying last nite and made up (vavoom!). Spent time talking to people I trust and talked about future endevors. Today.... has been a pretty wonderful day indeed. Pleasant and without the superficial hype of most days.

Writing for a living...

Thats what I do. I write for a living. I'm taking small baby steps by starting with stuff i have control over like small articles like this one and of course my favourite are scripts.

My current adventure has me paired up with one of Malaysia's reknowned directors. Everyone has a different way of writing that makes for their distinct style of expression. Some rationalise, some define, some describe and some explore. Many just write. I'm still finding my way. All my influences have helped me this far but i feel have not made me original. I hope that i may find that originality.

That comes when words just flow unto the fingers and the arrangement is unplanned. That is, by my definition, original.
